Davis came to the Aggies as a four-star recruit and the No. 10 tight end in the Class of 2015, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He chose Texas A&M over offers from SEC schools like Auburn, Florida and Mississippi State.
As a true freshman, Davis caught just two passes, but played in 11 games. At Louisville, he will have to sit out the 2016 season, but has a redshirt season to use and then will have three years of eligibility remaining.
According to Steve Jones of the Louisville Courier-Journal, Davis attended the team’s spring game on Saturday.
