Johnny Manziel appears to be trying to take care of himself.
TMZ Sports caught up with the former Texas A&M quarterback recently and asked him quick-hit questions about a variety of topics. Manziel dished about the NFL playoffs and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson, among other things.
But the most interesting part of the brief conversation was when Manziel spoke about his workout habits. He said he’s “doing very well” and that he’s working out about five to six times a week. TMZ Sports cites sources that say Manziel is “dead serious” about an NFL comeback.
It remains to be seen what Manziel’s future holds. He hasn’t played in the NFL since he threw for 1,500 yard with 7 touchdowns and 5 interceptions as part of the Cleveland Browns in 2015. It would take a leap of faith by any NFL franchise to sign him to a contract.
Still, it’s good to hear him talk about his present situation. It will be interesting following him.
