Texas A&M fans love Johnny Manziel. Apparently he’s not receiving the same kind of love up in Canada.
At least two fans there are reasonably upset that he has come in and are convinced he’s using the Canadian Football League as a stepping stone to get back to the NFL.
It’s likely a true statement, but these fans seem pretty upset.
“I thought he would be a distraction, so I would rather not have him here,” the man says in a completely serious tone wearing face paint, sunglasses and a hat with an incredible mustache.
Manziel played in The Spring League earlier this year when he completed 9 of 15 passes for 82 yards, but hasn’t seen an NFL field since 2015 when he was cut by the Cleveland Browns.
Yes, that Masoli who started for Ole Miss around the same time Manziel was at Texas A&M, which adds another wrinkle to the situation.
Of course, the fan had a take on this as well.
“I don’t think Jeremiah cares, Jeremiah is the No. 1, Johnny is not. Johnny hasn’t done anything since college.”
Regardless of the fan’s thoughts, Manziel should be given a little credit for trying to get his life back on track, regardless of whether he plays.
