Last week, Texas A&M wide receiver Speedy Noil was arrested on charges of marijuana possession and subsequently suspended indefinitely by head coach Kevin Sumlin. Monday, Sumlin provided an update on Noil’s situation:

Sumlin’s comments don’t give a precise indication on whether Noil will be playing in the team’s Texas Bowl matchup against Kansas State on Wednesday, but it seems unlikely he’ll be suiting up. If that is indeed the case, this will be the second straight bowl game Noil has been suspended for, as he missed last year’s Music City Bowl in a suspension that carried over into the 2016 season opener against UCLA.
Noil, a former 5-star recruit from Louisiana, has 21 catches for 325 yards and 2 touchdowns in 2016.
