The oddsmakers in Las Vegas apparently believe Alabama isn’t going to face much of a test on its way to another SEC championship this season.
The Crimson Tide is ranked No. 1 in the polls and will host No. 6 Texas A&M this week in what should be one of its most challenging games of the season. Yet, the point spread on the game started at an already large 16.5 and grew early this week to 19.5.
Current line: Texas A&M at Alabama -19.5 @WynnLasVegas.

It’s completely understandable that Alabama would be a significant favorite in this one and maybe even a double-digit favorite. However, Texas A&M has played well this season, has an explosive offense with one of college football’s best playmakers at quarterback in Trevor Knight and the Aggies are coming off a bye week. That means they have had two weeks to prepare for this one.
All of that makes it a little strange to see the point spread expanding ahead of this one. There must have been a lot of early money on Alabama, leading to this change.
