The No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs (8-1) will look to defend Sanford Stadium against the No. 10 Texas Longhorns (7-2) on Saturday night.
The stage is set in Athens for a top-ten matchup that has major implications for the postseason. A loss would almost certainly knock the Longhorns out of playoff contention. UGA needs a win to stay in the hunt for another SEC championship and to stay on track for a 5th berth into the College Football Playoff.
Some all-time great Dawgs gave their prediction on who will come out on top between the hedges per The Player’s Lounge.
See below for predictions.
- QB Aaron Murray 28-17 UGA
- Keith Marshall 37-24 UGA
- Knowshon Moreno 27-24 UGA
- Tavarres King 31-17 UGA
The Bulldogs enter the game on a five-game winning streak, including a massive ranked win over Ole Miss. They are currently 6-1 in the SEC, needing a win over Texas to keep pace with Texas A&M and Alabama in the race for the SEC Championship.
Georgia is currently a 5.5-point favorite over the Longhorns, according to ESPN BET.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
