The best wide receiver to ever play for Vanderbilt is on the move, as Jordan Matthews is headed to the Buffalo Bills.
Matthews, along with a 2018 third-round pick, was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Bills for cornerback Ronald Darby.

The trade comes just minutes after the Bills traded wide receiver Sammy Watkins to the Rams for former Missouri defense back E.J. Gaines.
In his time at Vanderbilt, Matthews hauled in 262 passes for 3,759 yards, both of which were school and SEC records. In his three seasons with the Eagles, Matthews caught 225 passes for 2,673 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Matthews was taken in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft and the Eagles moved up 12 spots in that draft to get him. Philadelphia did sign wide receivers Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith in the offseason.
Matthews’ now former quarterback shared a touching tribute following the trade.
Crazy part of this business. @jmattjmattjmatt you'll always be my boy both on & off the field. Couldn't ask for a better teammate & friend.
