Vanderbilt coach Derek Mason is a smooth dude.
He always dresses to impress at SEC Media Days, he’s a politician at the microphone during press conferences and he seems to be upping Vanderbilt’s shoe game in 2016.
The third-year head coach tweeted out a picture of some gold cleats Monday morning, teasing the sharp-looking kicks for next season.
Here's what's next in 2016. Time to get the shoe game poppin with the "Dark Knight" uniform. Enjoy⚓️?. Just Did It⭐️ pic.twitter.com/KDfM8Yc3Ol

The Commodores are in need of a change, as they enter next season coming off of a 4-8 (2-6 SEC) season. Mason has led Vanderbilt to a 7-17 record in two season in Nashville, and will be looking to get the Commodores’ back to a bowl game for the first time since the 2014 BBVA Compass Bowl.
Vandy will kick-start the season with an SEC matchup against South Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 8 p.m. ET in Nashville.
