Vanderbilt sophomore defensive end Jalen Pinkney announced his decision to transfer away from the program on Sunday via Twitter.
Pinkney appeared in seven games as a freshman, recording 2 tackles and 1 pass breakup. The former 3-star prospect signed with the Commodores on National Signing Day in 2017 after receiving offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Minnesota and Pitt, according to 247Sports.
Pinkney’s brother, Jared, made nine starts at tight end and appeared in every game for the Commodores in 2017.
