The retired life was not for Jay Cutler. At least not yet.

On Sunday, it was announced that Vanderbilt’s all-time leading passer would return to the National Football League after he agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal with the Miami Dolphins. Former Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill went down with an injury at Dolphins camp, and Cutler was the man that Miami coach Adam Gase wanted to replace him.

Under Gase’s guidance as the Chicago Bears offensive coordinator in 2015, Cutler had one of the most productive seasons of his NFL career. When Gase left for the Dolphins in 2016, Cutler suffered through an injury-riddled campaign with the Bears that ultimately drove him into retirement after he was released by the team. Gase is hoping to find some of that magic back with Cutler from their days together in the Windy City.

On Monday, the Dolphins introduced Cutler to the Miami media with a press conference. The highlights?

Well, Cutler said his wife push him pretty hard to return to football. And there was a quote about getting into shape that got everyone riled up:

Cutler’s demeanor was mostly fine, cracking smiles and giving thoughtful answers. But that didn’t stop football tweeters from across the country from preying on just the right moments in the press conference to turn into internet hilarity.

The internet didn’t let us down this time. Here’s a look at some of the best stuff from Cutler’s Miami debut:
