Kalija Lipscomb has anchored down.
Lipscomb committed to Vanderbilt after making an official visit to Nashville, Tenn. over the weekend, his coach told SEC Country.
A three-star receiver, according to 247 sports, Lipscomb picked up the offer from Vandy on Dec. 17 and committed to the Commodores one month and one day later.
The 6-foot, 185-pound wide receiver from Jesuit High School (New Orleans) made his first of three official visits this past weekend. He is still tentatively scheduled to head to Northwestern this weekend and to Nebraska on Jan. 29.
“He’s excited about the trip for sure,” a source told SEC Country before Lipscomb made the trip to Vanderbilt. “He is really looking forward to be a part of somebody’s team in the fall.”
Vanderbilt was the second SEC school to offer Lipscomb.
Arkansas offered him last year, but the Razorbacks pulled the offer off the table after Lipscomb did not commit.
Lipscomb is rated as Louisiana’s No. 43 prospect, per 247sports.
