Jay Cutler, known for his outgoing and jovial personality, will soon be on a reality television show.
The former Vanderbilt and NFL veteran quarterback will be back on TV screens later in 2018, just not in a helmet and shoulder pads. As part of a new reality show starring his wife Kristin Cavallari, Cutler is expected to make appearances on the program, according to TMZ.
Cavallari previously starred on the hit reality series The Hills, and the new program is slated to document her life in Nashville as she grows her fashion business.
Cavallari will not have her three children on the show, but husband Jay will be in the fold in some capacity. TMZ reports it is in production now and will air on E! later this year. A title has not been announced yet.
The number of Cutler’s appearances will likely depend on if he returns to the NFL for another season. After a long stint with the Chicago Bears, Cutler retired before last season and was prepared to join FOX Sports as a broadcasting analyst.
Those plans changed when Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill sustained a season-ending injury, and the team signed Cutler to a one-year, $10 million deal.
Cutler has not given a firm answer either way about his plans for next season, and TMZ also reports that Cavallari, although she says she would support his decision to play another year, would much prefer he retire and spend his days at home with her and their three kids.
