Skip Bayless doesn’t hide his Vanderbilt love from his 2.91 million Twitter followers. And when the Commodores missed out on a 5-star recruit on Monday evening, he made sure to share his thoughts.
Romeo Langford, a 5-star guard from New Albany, Ind., made his college decision at a ceremony, announcing that he would attend Indiana. Vanderbilt and Kansas were his other two remaining choices.
Not long after, Bayless, who graduated from Vanderbilt in 1974, took to Twitter, telling Langford that he should have “signed with the best school in the country.” The FS1 host also praised Vanderbilt’s 2018 recruiting class:
Hey, Romeo Langford: I respect & understand your decision to stay in state and play for Indiana. But you should've signed with the best school in the country, Vanderbilt, and joined a recruiting class that could've contended for a national championship.

While Commodores fans are likely disappointed in not landing Langford, Bayless had a point when he praised their recruiting class thus far. Vanderbilt has already landed a pair of 5-star recruits — forward Simisola Shittu and guard Darius Garland.
The Commodores have the No. 12 2018 recruiting class, per 247Sports, and the No. 3 class in the SEC. In addition to those two 5-star recruits, they have also landed 4-star guard Aaron Nesmith.
