Stanford commitment Bailey McElwain has flipped to Vanderbilt and will join the Commodores, this fall, Drew Champlin of AL.com reports.
McElwain had committed to Stanford last summer but had not signed a scholarship or enrolled in the school. He was planning to enroll at a prep school this year and move on to Stanford at the end of the school year.
The late flip though will have McElwain arriving in Nashville this summer and enable him to play this season.
The 6-foot, 231-pound full back from Trussville, Ala., is rated the No. 3 fullback in the country and 42nd best prospect overall from Alabama by 247Sports Composite Rankings.
