Dawkins made an unofficial visit to Vanderbilt on March 12. He also received offers from Duke, Missouri, North Carolina and Boston College, among others.
Dawkins will have a chance to help build on the momentum gained by the Commodores last season. Vanderbilt went 6-7 and made an appearance in the Independence Bowl. It marked the Commodores’ first appearance in the postseason since playing in the BBVA Compass Bowl to cap the 2013 campaign.
