Vanderbilt landed an addition to its 2018 recruiting class.
On Saturday linebacker Salua Masina, from Salt Lake City, Utah, signed with the Commodores, as you can see in the photos below. The 247Sports composite rates Masina as a 3-star prospect and the No. 25 outside linebacker for his class. He’s also ranked as the No. 7 player overall in Utah in his class.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound player also was a possibility to land at California and Utah, per 247Sports. According to 247Sports, Masina attended a Vanderbilt camp on June 23 and made an unofficial visit to the school on June 24.
Vanderbilt finished last season with a 5-7 record. That effort followed a 2016 campaign in which the Commodores went 6-7 and appeared in the Independence Bowl.
