The Vanderbilt Commodores have found their quarterback of the future. And he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the 2018 recruiting cycle in Allan Walters.
Walters announced via his Twitter account that he was committing to the Commodores. Walters is listed at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds and is the No. 11 pro style quarterback for the class of 2018. He is the No. 261 ranked player in the 2018 class.
He is from Hightstown, N.J., and plays for The Peddie School. He also has offers from Michigan, Alabama and Ole Miss.

Walters is the first commit for Vanderbilt’s 2018 class. Vanderbilt has just 12 commits for the 2017 class, and its top rated played is Jacob Free, a quarterback from Bentley, Ala.
Vanderbilt was led this year by quarterback Kyle Shurmur, a redshirt sophomore. The Commodores will be playing in a bowl game, as they take on NC State in the Independence Bowl on Dec. 26. This is the first time the Commodores will play in a bowl game under Derek Mason.
