Williams said earlier this month that his other top schools were Virginia Tech, Arkansas, Tennessee and Mississippi State and that he also was interested in Colorado, Virginia, Indiana and Memphis.
Williams is rated as the 80th-best 2018 cornerback in the country in the 247Sports composite rankings, along with the No. 28 overall prospect from Tennessee. He is listed by Rivals.com at 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds and as Tennessee’s 34th-best prospect.
Williams is the third in-state player to commit to Vanderbilt in the Class of 2018 and the 12th commitment in the class.
The cornerback was at Vanderbilt’s Friday Night Lights event over the weekend, according to Vanderbilt’s Rivals site.
