Vanderbilt has gotten off to a strong start on the recruiting trail in the 2018 recruiting class, and the group just got a little better Sunday with the addition of 3-star running back JaVeon Marlow.
Marlow announced his commitment to the Commodores on Twitter on Sunday afternoon. The running back from Winter Haven, Fla., is a 3-star prospect per the 247Sports Compostie rankings. He is listed at 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds.

Marlow’s commitment now gives Vanderbilt 14 players in their 2018 class, which ranks fifth in the SEC and the No. 28 team in the country. Marlow is Vanderbilt’s first running back commitment in the class.
Ralph Webb, Vanderbilt all-time leading rusher, is a senior this season. In addition to Marlow, Vanderbilt’s class has commitments from 3-star quarterback Allen Waters, as well as 4-star wide receiver Camron Johnson.
Vanderbilt opens its 2017 season on the road against Middle Tennessee State on Sept. 2.
