What can’t Vanderbilt linebacker Zach Cunningham do? He’s an amazing defender. Apparently, he can make standout special teams contributions as well.
Check out this breathtaking block by Cunningham below on a field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter. Auburn kicker Daniel Carlson lined up for a 36-yard field goal try with the Tigers leading 23-16, and Cunningham jumped over the line of scrimmage to make one of the best plays you’ll see.
Holy moly Zach Cunningham. pic.twitter.com/26Sf91nZXc

Unfortunately for the Commodores, Cunningham’s play didn’t make a difference in the end. Vanderbilt’s final drive ended on an interception by Joshua Holsey of quarterback Kyle Shurmur at Auburn’s 18-yard line.
Still, you have to give credit to Cunningham. What an athlete.
