Vanderbilt stunned Georgia at Sanford Stadium on Saturday with a 17-16 victory between the hedges.
While there are many plays that could be considered the “pivotal moment” of the close contest, most will point the the 4th-and-1 play call by Georgia on a drive to attempt to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.
Coming out of two timeouts, the Bulldogs put Nick Chubb’s hand in the ground, motioned Isaiah McKenzie into the backfield, and handed the ball to the versatile wide receiver. He was tracked down by Commodores LB Zach Cunningham, who had 19 tackles on the day, just short of the line to gain.

Georgia turned the ball over on downs as a result of the play, and Vanderbilt was able to run out the clock to claim its first victory in Athens since 2006.
